Here's another from the same day. Two weeks, and Justin still is frowning when I pick him up. He was 100% Mommy's boy. At least he's not doing a blank stare in this photo! :-)

Helpful boy
Jacob is so helpful. Here he is helping us do dishes. I can't tell you how often I'll turn around and suddenly the dishwasher is washing clean dishes (or no dishes for that matter!) This will be a lot less cute when he weighs enough to break the door off.

Rocking horse
I'm not sure where this thing came from, but somebody gave us a rocking horse. Jacob was so excited he stripped, and hopped right on!

My my, that kid needs a haircut!
This photo was the last time Jacob touched the horse, until August when he found the on switch that makes the horse play music and neigh when he rides it. Now he loves it! Go figure.

First nap
Four days after getting the boys, and I'm pretty sure this is the first time I got them to go down for a nap (Maria had slightly better luck). We were both dead on our feet, and they were taking up space in OUR bed, but they looked so darn cute with their butts up in the air that we couldn't even be grumpy about not getting to nap ourselves!

Our first day with the boys
I finally went through this weekend and organized the 10 billion photos we've taken of the boys. I thought I'd start from scratch to show how much they've changed in just a few months!
Here's our very first night with Jacob and Justin. We took them over to see Chuck and Diana..
Chuck looks a little out of practice here, but he's gotten way better. He adores his little namesake Justin Charles.

Jacob was a playful ham immediately (and still is)

We got the boys McDonalds for their first meal (what kid doesn't love french fries?), which Jacob promptly fed to the dog. We thought that was funny, and have been paying for our chuckles ever since. And Midnight has gotten fat.

We took the boys home for their bath (towels strategically placed)

And an over the moon daddy got to help put them in their pj's (Okay, so we didn't have pj's for them yet, but sweat shirts work great in January!).

And thus began two months of babies who wouldn't sleep in a crib no matter how much we begged!
